I need to think bigger than the "first thing" I would do: First, I would be anonymous.
- Pay all bills
- Replace old rusty vehicles with new
- Give kids an early inheritance
- Support a local non-profit with a life gift
- Give immediate family members a one-time gift
- Set up a foundation to fund college for kids from Roseau County, MN
- Invest for my life
- Provide a yearly Easter gift to Salvation Army.
- Travel with my hubby
- Get a house cleaning service.
- 0h, and have my hubby's garage insulated and wired.

That sounds a lot like my list, although James wouldn't get an early inheritance yet. ;-) I think that paying bills and then investing for my life would be at the top of my list, though, just so that I wouldn't have to worry later about not being able to support myself when I retire...I figure that's a bigger favor to James than anything else.
Oh, and I would get good life and long term care insurance policies for Ryan and I.
